CHRISTIE'S ROOM
I’m finally beyond excited to share with you all Christie's new room. I absolutely adore everything in her room.
Firstly I started to plan her room in Late January and had a few ideas by mid Feb. As I fell pregnant in February, with being constantly tired, nauseous and wanting to eat everything in sight I became so slow in getting it all done. But finally it’s all come together and I couldn’t be happier.
When I first started to plan her Big Girl room I knew I wanted a feature wall. I loved the fact that Minnie and Me wallpapers were removable and knew that’s the way I would go (Long story short hubby and I would not agree on normal wallpaper). As soon as I saw this design I fell in love, it was subtle yet still a little change. I only changed the color of the original design so it would be more subtle and something I wouldn’t get bored of fast and as you can see I cant escape they grey.
I wanted to avoid that softness of her nursery and the blush tones, I also wanted to incorporate hues of blue, natural colors and deeper pinks/reds. I love all the textures and layers in this room and even more that Christie loves her new room and spends hours in there playing.
